L'Eraclito amoroso Screening

Awhile back, friend, collaborator, and amazing opera singer Elyse Kakacek pitched a project idea to me, an opera music video that merged a performance of an aria written by Italian singer, poet and composer Barbara Strozzi (1619-1677) and pole dancing. My immediate response was I’m in.

Flash forward many months later, we are sharing this project for the first time with with an audience. If you wish to experience this we hope you can join us to experience this piece in a completely new and fascinating lens. Details of the screening are above and below. You can RSVP on Eventbrite.

This is the first project produced by Frisson - a collective of artists focused on the filmed expression of classical music.

b l u s h in 2019

I started writing the treatment for b l u s h in January 2018. Now, one year later, my talented editor Ali Read and I have a complete rough cut of the film, accompanied by a work in progress score by friend and longtime collaborator Joe Bradford.

We’re heading into the next stage of the editing process where we will fine-tune scenes and shape the direction of the film. Our goal is to finish before the trees bloom in the spring.

I truly believe we’re on the verge of creating something truly special that sparks conversation in new, refreshing ways. I’m thrilled to move closer to completion and share it with you later this year.
